Injection |
The injection press is used to create plastic items in extremely large quantities.
The injection process consists of pushing plastic matter, made liquid by raised temperatures, through a plastification screw, into a mould with the shape of the required part.
The mould is then cooled to solidify the material and enable de-moulding of the finished part.
Some moulds, with several cavities, enable the creation of several parts in any one cycle.
The sizing and aesthetic quality of the parts is determined by the quality of the press, the temperature settings, injection pressure and speed and mould quality.
