The injection process
LFP's production lines are equipped with the right tools for advanced chemical applications and complex transformations on a daily basis. The injection press is used to make moderate and very high quantities of plastic articles.
The injection process consists heating the plastic with a plastification screw until it is liquid, and then forcing it into a mould shaped like the part to be made.
The mould is then cooled down until the plastic is solid and the mould can be stripped from the finished part. Certain moulds have several cavities and can be used to produce several parts in a single cycle.
The accuracy of the dimensions and the appearance of the parts are determined by the quality of the mould, the quality of the press and the temperature, pressure and injection speed settings.
